Friends of the Complex

The Friends of the Complex is the annual giving campaign for the Smith River Sports Complex which provides crucial support for the day to day operations of the facility.

The mission of the Smith River Sports Complex is to enhance the quality of life and boost the economic growth of Martinsville-Henry County.  In 2018, the Complex infused over $4 million into the local economy, with 40,000 new visitors, 30,000 of whom were from outside this area.  We expect that impact to be even higher in 2019 and 2020.  The ability to provide local residents with a first class recreational setting, while leveraging dollars from outside the area, is important to the vitality of our community.

We have four levels of membership:

• Hall of Fame ($1,000+)
• All Star($500-$999)
• Player ($250-499)
• Spectator ($100-$249)  

Each Friend of the Complex will be recognized (if desired) on a sign at the Complex and on this website. 

The 2023 goal is to raise $25,000 which will enable us to continue to recruit and host additional events. The money raised by the Friends directly impacts the ability of the Complex to bring economically valuable events to our area and thus continue to be a source of pride and revenue for our community.
